"ONE OF THE GREATEST DISCOVERIES of my life was that I was made for large format. Years as a commercial artist, working in sizes under 2 ft. I was frustrated, and felt that my work was mediocre. A large guy, I tend to move large and energetically. Walls are not oceans to me. They are streams; lakes to swim and sail."
This piece was done on canvas and installed in a residential wine room.
Canvas murals are installed using the same method as vinyl wall coverings. The project shown is one of four large canvas murals for a children's Rehab Center in Houston.

"CAPTAIN RED" mural detail
Many of Ron's mural projects have been related to children. This client wanted to encourage patents who where dealing with life altering injuries. Details like this one, from murals on each wing of the center were printed and framed for the individual treatment rooms.
Another detail from a total room treatment. Wild life and landscape on every wall and ceiling surface of a large master bath. This passage was painted in the bath above the fixtures so that it appears to flow into the tub.
